Camu Camu powder is made from the Camu Camu fruit of the Myrciaria Dubia shrub. Organic Camu Camu grows in the swamps of the tropical rainforest in the western Amazon region (Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and parts of Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela). The fruit is the size of a lemon and light orange in color. It is a tropical fruit with a diameter between 2 and 4 centimeters. The skin is smooth and the color varies from pink to dark purple. The flesh is yellow, meaty, and sour.Compared to an orange, Camu Camu contains approximately 30 times as much Vitamin C, 10 times as much Iron, 3 times as much Niacin, 2 times as much Riboflavin, and 50% more Phosphorus.
