Ribose powder dissolves readily and has a pleasant flavour. This means it can be mixed with sports drinks that are consumed during exercise.
Ribose should be consumed as close as possible to or during the (sporting) exertion. When taken in this way, the use of a few grams is standard. For maintenance purposes, a dose of approximately 2 grams just before going to bed is recommended.
