This organic rosehip oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the rosehip plant. Organic rosehip oil is deep yellow/red in color and has a strong odor. Because the oil has a limited shelf life, it is often refined. This gives the oil a clear color and minimal odor. The unrefined oil contains, in addition to many essential fatty acids, active ingredients that contribute to its effectiveness. Besides carotenoids (color pigments in fruits and vegetables that act as antioxidants for the skin, including beta-carotene), essential oil, and vitamin E, the oil contains a remarkable amount of trans-retinoic acid, a vitamin A acid. Mix with a carrier oil for daily use. We recommend mixing the oil with Aromassage Roses (50:50) for phenomenal skincare and youthful, fresh, and radiant skin. This combination also smells fantastic! The oil can be used neat on scars. Apply the oil to the scar twice a day for at least 3 months. Even older scars can benefit from rosehip oil. Because the oil has a limited shelf life, we recommend storing it in the refrigerator.Caution! Because rosehip oil repairs the skin by promoting the production of new skin cells, this new skin may be more sensitive to sunlight. Therefore, do not use the oil in direct sunlight unless combined with sunscreen.
