- Swollen eyelids
- Burning and itching of the eye
Prevalin disodium cromoglicate 20 mg/ml eye drops are used for conjunctivitis (inflammation of the mucous membranes of the eye) that causes itching, watering, or redness due to an allergy to certain substances. Your eyes may feel burning, your eyelids may be swollen, and you may experience poor light tolerance.
Composition of Prevalin Oogdruppels:
The active substance in this medicine is sodium cromoglicate. This is present in the form of disodium cromoglicate, equivalent to 20 mg/ml sodium cromoglicate.Excipients: benzalkonium chloride, disodium edetate dihydrate and water for injections.
Usage of Prevalin Oogdruppels:
1. Unscrew the screw cap (the seal must be broken the first time).2. Tilt your head back slightly and look up.
3. Pull down the lower eyelid with a finger.
4. Hold the container with the dropper upside down over this eyelid.
5. Gently squeeze the dropper container and let the drop fall behind the eyelid (try not to touch the eye with the dropper container).
6. Blink your eyes a few times.
7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 for the other eye.
8. Replace the screw cap on the dropper container.
