Green People is a natural, organic skincare brand from the United Kingdom, founded by Charlotte Vøhtz. Green People has been around since 1997 — so for over 25 years now. Charlotte’s own daughter, Sandra, struggled with skin allergies and eczema, and Charlotte discovered that many so-called natural products on the market were mostly made up of synthetic ingredients. In 1999, Charlotte began advocating for the creation of strict standards for organic skincare after noticing misleading claims by other brands. She worked together with the Soil Association to develop the first certifications for organic cosmetics. Charlotte — and later Green People’s Cosmetic Scientist, Ian Taylor — played a major role in setting natural and organic cosmetic standards. This helped clarify to the industry what truly natural and organic meant. Between 2000 and 2014, Green People grew into a beloved brand thanks to its effective products and excellent customer service. The brand received more than 140 awards and recognitions for product quality, including accolades from magazines like *Natural Health Magazine* and *The Green Parent*.
