Bioflavonoids are water-soluble substances found alongside vitamin C, primarily in fresh fruits and vegetables. Bioflavonoids are considered synergists of vitamin C. They enhance its bioavailability.
Vitamin C functions in the body as a water-soluble antioxidant and plays an important role as a free radical scavenger. It is part of a complex system of endogenous antioxidants, dietary antioxidants, and antioxidant enzymes with interdependencies and interactions. In this capacity, it is involved in protecting DNA, proteins, and lipids from oxidative damage and thus contributes to the maintenance of healthy cells and tissues. In addition, vitamin C is required as a coenzyme for three different enzymes involved in the production of collagen (the most abundant building block in the human body). Normal collagen formation is important for bones, cartilage, gums, skin, tendons, and blood vessels, among other things.

Ascorbic acid, bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose (cellulose gel), citrus bioflavonoid complex, rose hip powder (Fructus cynosbati), anti-caking agents: silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, glazing agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.This product is guaranteed free from: soy, lactose, gluten, preservatives and synthetic fragrances, colours and flavours.
This product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and is GMO free.
Usage of Vitals Vitamine C 1000 mg met Bioflavonoïden:
Take 1 tablet per day, unless otherwise advised by your health professional.Preferably take with a meal and plenty of water.
Stick to the recommended dosage.
Warning:
Kidney patients should not take more than 200 mg of Vitamin C per day because of, among other things, the risk of hyperoxalemia (too high a concentration of oxalic acid in the blood).
