Astaxanthin is a natural red-orange pigment belonging to the carotenoid group. It is usually extracted from the algae Haematococcus pluvialis, which produces this substance in response to stress, such as bright sunlight.The pigment also occurs in nature through the food chain and gives animals such as salmon, trout, shrimp, and crabs their pink to reddish color.
Astaxanthin belongs to the xanthophylls, a subgroup of carotenoids, and has a slightly different structure than, for example, beta-carotene.

Each capsule contains (=daily dosage):L-Tyrosine 200 mg
PABA 100 mg
Vitamine B6 (als pyridoxine HCI) 30 mg
Astaxanthine 4 mg
