Physalis Omega 3 ultra contains polyunsaturated Omega 3 fatty acids EPA (48%) and DHA (32%) in the natural EPA/DHA ratio of 1.5. Our diet provides relatively too much Omega 6 and too little Omega 3. Therefore, supplements with EPA and DHA are recommended.The Omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA are good for the heart (a beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA). Furthermore, DHA is good for brain function and vision (a beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA).
