The normal vitamin C as ascorbic acid is the acidic form of vitamin C.This can irritate the gastrointestinal tract at higher doses.
Buffered Vitamin C from VitaKruid, on the other hand, combines calcium and magnesium with ascorbic acid, resulting in ascorbates (salts) instead of ascorbic acid.
The combination makes this form of vitamin C friendlier for the gastrointestinal tract and easier to absorb.
During the absorption process in the body, calcium and magnesium are released, which supports the beneficial effect of the vitamin.
