Application of VeraSupplements Marine Omega 3-Complex 1000 mg:
BioVitaal Marine Omega 3-Complex contains purified fish oils extracted from sardines, mackerel, and anchovies from the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Peru. The catch of these fish is supervised by the General Law of Fishery and the Marine Institute of Peru (IMRAPE), guaranteeing responsible and ethical policies and preventing overfishing and depletion of fish stocks.These oils contain Omega-3 fatty acids, such as EPA, DHA, and DPA. To protect the oils, natural Vitamin E (natural tocopherol mix) has been added as an antioxidant. The capsule shell of bovine and porcine gelatin has now been replaced by fish gelatin. Marine Omega 3-Complex contains not only EPA, DHA, and DPA, but also the 18:3, 18:4, 20:4, 20:5, 21:5, 22:5, and 22:6 Omega-3 fatty acids naturally present in fish.
This product contains less than 1% arachidonic acid, which is very low for a fish oil. Salmon oil was deliberately not used for this product, because (farmed) salmon can be contaminated and contain relatively high concentrations of arachidonic acid. This oil has been tested for heavy metals, dioxins, PCBs, PAHs, and kainic acid analogues, such as domoic acid.
EPA and DHA contribute to the normal functioning of the heart (at a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA). DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision (from a daily intake of 250 mg DHA).
Composition of VeraSupplements Marine Omega 3-Complex 1000 mg:
3 capsules (= daily dose) contain:Purified fish oil from sardines, anchovies and mackerel 3000 mg
(originating from the southern Pacific Ocean near Peru)
of which:
- EPA (eicosapentaeenzuur) 540 mg
- DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) 360 mg
- DPA (docosapentaeenzuur) 60 mg
- ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) 40 mg
- AA (arachidonzuur) <1%
Also contains natural 18:3, 18:4, 20:4, 20:5, 21:5, 22:5 and 22:6 omega-3 fatty acids (total minimum 50 mg per capsule).
Natural vitamin E (natural tocopherol mix) 15 IU
