Resveratrol is a polyphenol, a group of natural compounds produced by plants in response to stress, fungal infections, or ultraviolet radiation. It is a defense substance of the plant itself and is found in the highest concentrations in grape skins, mulberries, peanuts, and the root of Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum).Kala uses exclusively trans-resveratrol, the biologically active and most researched form of resveratrol, extracted from the root of Polygonum cuspidatum.
