Folic acid is necessary, among other things, for the development of healthy red blood cells. A folic acid deficiency in the body can occur due to, for example, a disorder in the absorption of folic acid, chronic alcoholism, the long-term use of medication for epilepsy, or due to increased consumption, such as during pregnancy.Composition of Teva Foliumzuur 0.5 mg:
Each tablet contains:Folic acid 0.5 mg
Ingredients of Teva Foliumzuur 0.5 mg:
Folic acid, potato starch, lactose, pregelatinized potato starch, talc (E553b), magnesium stearate (E572).Use of Teva Foliumzuur 0.5 mg:
Initially 1-2 tablets per day (=24 hours). Thereafter a maintenance dose of 0.5-1 tablet per day.Maximum 2 tablets per day.
The tablets are best spread out over the, if possible, with a generous amount of water (=one glass).
